When you learn Qigong you’ll feel your abundant life energy expand into dimensions you may not yet sense. I recently spoke about Qigong in Bend’s Old Stone Church and led the audience in some introductory exercises. In response, one man commented that the energy he experienced during the exercise “felt like standing in a waterfall without getting wet.” A new awareness for him, and a beautiful description.
Also in the audience was a prominent neurosurgeon who asked probing questions about Qigong’s healing power. As a non-scientist I could answer only anecdotally and personally. Much research is being done in China, the US and elsewhere, and many people, including Professor Huixian Chen, who brought Chinese Essence Qigong to Oregon, report powerful healing. Since I began practicing this form thirteen years ago, I’ve experienced a strengthened immune system, a balanced metabolism, freedom from “moods” and cravings, increased flexibility, pain relief, less emotional reactivity, better relationships, more happiness and enthusiasm, creative stimulation…the list could go on.
I’m excited that one of my 2014 students will be going on a Qigong trip to China with Professor Huixian Chen in April. (There may still be places available: www.wisdomandpeace.com)
My first Chinese Essence Qigong Intensive of 2015, a one-day class with six hours of instruction in the complete practice, will be Saturday, February 21st in my Bend studio. This class is ideal for beginners. The afternoon session also offers a good “review and refresh” opportunity for returning students.

New students: $110 to learn complete form (includes practice CD, notes, ongoing support)
